Itinerary
While Rio de Janeiro is best experienced during Carnival, in this vibrant city, the party continues for 365 days. Ride by cable car to the peak of Sugarloaf Mountain to watch the sun set over this beautiful city while sipping a caipirinha. Conclude the day with a refined welcome dinner at a renowned restaurant in one of Rio’s charming neighbourhoods.

Ascend Corcovado Mountain before it opens to the public to behold one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the iconic Christ the Redeemer, bathed in the first rays of dawn — an A&K-exclusive experience. After some free time to relax, stroll the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, a 350-acre oasis showcasing some 6,500 species of tropical and subtropical plants and trees. The evening is free to explore, dine and unwind as you like.

Then, immerse yourself in the dynamic street carnival as local experts reveal the infectious rhythms of samba and the high-energy beats of blocos and street bands. Next, brush up on your steps with a samba lesson taught by expert instructors. As evening approaches, head to your VIP box at the world-famous Sambadrome amid the electric atmosphere of the world’s largest parade. Toast your travelling companions as an endless procession of elaborate floats, dazzlingly costumed dancers and synchronized drum corps light up the city streets. Samba the night away, joining revellers in a celebration that transcends cultural boundaries.
