7 Day Southwest Nature Drive

Drive into the city and check in to your accommodation, Spend the afternoon unwinding from your travels—take a walk along the Langley Park riverfront, or visit nearby Kings Park & Botanic Garden for stunning views over the city skyline. Start the morning with breakfast and a stroll along the Swan River Foreshore, then head to Fremantle for a day of culture, street food, and heritage architecture. Visit the Fremantle Markets, Roundhouse, or WA Maritime Museum, and consider lunch at a local brewery or fish and chip shop along the harbour. If you'd prefer nature, visit Cottesloe Beach for a coastal walk and swim. 

Check out this morning and embark on a scenic drive south to Pemberton, a journey of approximately 4.5 hours through the South West wine and forest region. Enjoy the changing scenery, from farmland to towering karri forests. Upon arrival, check in to your Lakeside Room at Karri Valley Resort, nestled on the tranquil banks of Lake Beedelup. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, walking through forest trails, or spotting local wildlife. After breakfast, take a leisurely morning walk through the towering karri trees or visit nearby attractions like the Gloucester Tree or Beedelup Falls. Depart Pemberton late morning and drive 2–2.5 hours to Margaret River, one of Australia’s premier food and wine destinations. Upon arrival, check in to your room at Margarets In Town, ideally located near cafes, galleries, and the river. Spend the afternoon exploring the town or visiting a local cellar door for your first taste of the region’s renowned wines. Enjoy dinner at one of the excellent local restaurants and settle in for your first night.

Begin your day with the unique and immersive Didgeridoo Cave Tour, this guided experience takes you deep into one of Margaret River’s stunning limestone caves, where traditional Aboriginal stories are brought to life through the atmospheric sounds of the didgeridoo echoing through ancient chambers.
