Your day includes a breath-taking seaplane flight, offering panoramic views of the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago, before landing in the calm waters of Talbot Bay. Enjoy either a delicious hot breakfast, or locally sourced barramundi lunch prepared by your expert hosts at the Horizontal Falls houseboat.

Throughout the day, experience a scenic cruise through the Horizontal Falls, followed by a refreshing swim in the marine viewing enclosure, where you can get up close to the local marine life. You’ll also visit the renowned, third-generation Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, learning about the rich history and culture of this family-owned business, and explore the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home to the iconic Mother of Pearl Church. After a day full of adventure and discovery, we make our way back to Broome, where the Horizontal Falls team will transfer you back to your accommodation.

Tonight, we gather for dinner at the Sunset Bar & Grill.

Board Outback Spirit’s custom all-terrain coach on our journey north, stopping in Derby where we visit the culturally significant Boab Prison Tree. From here, we travel along the legendary Gibb River Road, stopping at Windjana Gorge for a guided walk through towering limestone cliffs. This afternoon, we venture into Tunnel Creek National Park, wading through its underground river system, before continuing to Fitzroy Crossing.

Departing Fitzroy Crossing, we travel along the Great Northern Highway to Halls Creek, with a stop to explore the mystical Mimbi Caves. Hear Dreamtime stories from Traditional Owners and discover ancient fossil sites before enjoying lunch in Halls Creek. Then, it’s time to journey into one of Australia’s most breathtaking landscapes, Purnululu National Park, home to the awe-inspiring Bungle Bungle Range.

Take in the grandeur of Purnululu from above on an unforgettable 18-minute helicopter flight. Back on the ground, follow Piccaninny Creek to the stunning Cathedral Gorge, where nature has sculpted a natural amphitheatre. Continue along the Dome Trail, weaving through the park’s striking beehive-like formations, before heading north to Echidna Chasm, where sheer rock walls glow in the afternoon light.

Leaving Purnululu behind, we travel north to Kununurra, stopping at Five Rivers Lookout for a picnic with panoramic views stretching across the Cambridge Gulf. Arriving in Kununurra by afternoon, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.

Setting out for the day, we arrive at the banks of Lake Kununurra to board a three-hour cruise up the Ord River. Enjoy the scenery and diverse wildlife as your skipper takes you upstream to Lake Argyle. Afterwards, we visit Argyle Homestead Museum before continuing to the Cockburn Range and the iconic El Questro Station.

Delve deeper into El Questro Wilderness Park with a tranquil 90-minute cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a striking freshwater haven framed by towering cliffs. After feeding the cheeky archerfish, we then return to Emma Gorge Resort via the Station township. Choose your own adventure in the afternoon selecting to either unwind at the resort or take on a guided hike to Emma Gorge’s breathtaking waterfall (2.5 hours return) A good level of fitness is required for this walk however a swim in its cool, emerald pool is just reward for effort.

Spend the morning relaxing in the warm, crystal-clear waters of Zebedee Thermal Springs. After this, we resume our journey west along the Gibb River Road, crossing the mighty Pentecost River. From here, we follow the Kalumburu Road to Drysdale River Station, running 9,000 head of cattle across more than 1 million acres.

Heading north, we continue along the Kalumburu Road and follow the remote Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau) track, crossing the King Edward River to reach ancient Wanjina rock art galleries - some of the most remarkable in the Kimberley. We venture deeper into the Plateau, through towering Livistona palm forests before arriving at our exclusive Ngauwudu Safari Camp by mid-afternoon.

A big walk today, but also a big highlight! After a short drive to the ranger station we'll set off on a guided 4km walking tour to the incredible Mitchell Falls (good level of fitness and mobility required). Along the way we'll discover rarely seen Gwion and Wanjina rock art galleries, accompanied by a local expert guide from Kandiwal Community. The walk also takes us past Mertens Falls before arriving at the top of the Mitchell Falls, one of the most awe-inspiring wonders of the Kimberley.

After a picnic lunch and enough time to admire the falls we'll take to the skies for a spectacular helicopter flight (included) back to where the walk started. Viewing the falls and surrounding landscape from the air is an absolute highlight, and a great way to finish off the experience. Once we're on the ground at the ranger station, we return to the camp for a well-earned rest and perhaps a swim in the palm fringed creek.

Please Note: For passengers not wishing to do the Mitchell Falls walk there is an option to fly down by helicopter. An Outback Spirit guide will still escort you. The flight cost is $179.00 per person (own expense). Please note: Weight limits apply to all scenic flights

Another flight sees us leave the Mitchell Plateau behind bound for Darwin. Our aircraft for the morning is Outback Spirit's state-of-the-art Cessna Grand Caravan, featuring a high wing for excellent visibility, air-conditioning and turbine reliability. Heading east to Joseph Bonaparte Gulf before hugging the coastline to Darwin, sees us arriving early in the afternoon. Our accommodation provides easy access to the Darwin Esplanade and several kilometres of paved walkways through lush green gardens. Your afternoon is at leisure.

Tonight, enjoy our final dinner together and celebrate a wonderful Kimberley adventure.

Today your tour concludes. You may wish to join us for a city tour, including a visit to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory or alternatively, you can spend the morning at your leisure. You will then be transferred to the airport or accommodation if staying on.
