Koh Lipe Beach Break

Arrive at Hat Yai airport and transfer to Pakbara pier to board the speedboat to Koh Lipe. Arrive Koh Lipe around 13:30/15:30 hrs. (subject to change) you will be escorted by hotel representative to your selected hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore this beautiful island. Koh Lipe is a small tropical paradise with all the usual, but welcome clichés: white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, coconut tree-fringed beaches, luxuriant tropical forest and colourful coral reefs. Add to this the chilled-out atmosphere and the slow pace of life found in most tropical destinations, and you’ve got a winning holiday destination. 

Note: National Park fee and garbage fee THB 220 per person are not included (to be paid on spot). Please ensure to keep the national park ticket to present it for your excursion on day 2 otherwise you will be asked to pay again.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up to begin a private long-tail boat excursion exploring the unique islands and snorkelling spots of the Adang Archipelago.

Your first stop is Hin Ngnam Island, a shallow and calm snorkelling site where you can take a close look at the fascinating marine life below the surface. This tranquil island is not known for white sand beaches, but instead for its smooth, shiny black stones that cover the shoreline. According to local legend, anyone who removes a stone from the island will be cursed by the island’s guardian spirit. However, wishes are said to be granted to those who successfully build a tower of twelve stones.

Next, continue to Jabang Island. The waters here range from 5 to 16 metres in depth and are often so clear that colourful coral can be seen from the surface. Beneath the water, submerged rock pinnacles are covered in vibrant red, pink, orange and blue coral growing on granite formations. Schools of colourful tropical fish can also be seen swimming among the reefs.

Lunch will be served on the unspoilt shores of Rawi Island, which boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the Adang Archipelago. Its long stretch of soft white sand is perfect for a relaxing stroll.

After lunch, continue to Koh Hin Sorn, a fascinating mini-island formed by two cube-shaped boulders stacked on top of one another, almost as if they were carefully placed by hand. The surrounding waters provide shelter for juvenile marine life, including clownfish, coral reefs, sea anemones, and both soft and hard corals.

On the way back, stop at Koh Rokloy, a tiny island with powdery white sand that contrasts beautifully with the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea. Enjoy a final snorkel or swim in the crystal-clear water before returning to Koh Lipe.

Snorkelling around Koh Lipe is an unforgettable experience. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the island at your leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax or explore the island.

Enjoy the swimming pool at your resort, sip a cocktail or fresh coconut at the beach bar, or treat yourself to a traditional Thai massage. A range of activities are also available, including sea kayaking and sailing. Rent a kayak and explore the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, or head beneath the surface for more snorkelling and discover colourful reefs just a short distance from the beach.

On land, you can trek around the entire island at your own pace – the walk takes roughly one hour – and discover Koh Lipe’s lush tropical vegetation and local wildlife along the way.

Trekking on Koh Lipe also gives you the opportunity to find secluded beaches where you can enjoy a true “Robinson Crusoe” feeling of peaceful isolation.

In the evening, explore the lively Walking Street. With the island’s recent development, Koh Lipe now offers a wider range of dining options. While Thai cuisine and fresh seafood remain the highlights, visitors can also enjoy a variety of international choices including Western, Italian, Indian and vegetarian dishes.

After breakfast, depart Koh Lipe by scheduled boat to the Pakbara pier, proceed by land transfer to airport in Hat Yai for your onward flight.
