Samoa sightseeing optional add-ons
This half day tour is ideal for a short and sweet intro to Upolu and will give you the chance to learn a few points of interest about Samoa. Drive past places of historic and scenic interest including Mulinu’u, the sacred burial grounds of the chiefly families of Samoa. Stop at the Samoa Catholic Cathedral where you’ll see the fine artistry and skills of the Samoa craftsmen who built the church and crafted the beautiful carvings and artwork. The magnificent stained-glass windows were imported from Italy and help give the cathedral its grandeur. Head to the markets to shop for local produce and handicrafts. Last stop Robert Louis Stevenson Museum.

Experience the pristine waters of Upolu. Start the journey with a beautiful scenic drive along the north eastern coast of Upolu. Drive through Le Mafa Pass, the Pass sits at 500m above sea level so sit back, relax and absorb the magnificent views. Stop at Sopoaga botanical gardens and waterfalls where you will experience a Coconut husking demonstration. Next up, is the famous To Sua Ocean Trench at Lotofaga Village. The trench itself is a natural and deep swimming hole surrounded by lush tropical foliage and colourful gardens. Travel to the pristine white sands of Lalomanu Beach to snorkel and swim or just relax on the beach or in one of the sheltered fales. A succulent BBQ lunch will be served at the beach. After lunch return to Apia via the south western part of the island, this scenic trip is via rainforests, plantations & mountains!

First stop is the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum for a tour of this majestic site, steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens with fabulous views of the mountains. Following this, the scenic drive then continues through lush mountains and rainforest with a stop at the Papapapaitai Falls. Lunch is a delicious barbecue at Tafatafa with ample time for a swim, or just relax in the coolness of a Samoan fale. On the drive back to Apia, the tour takes you through the Le Mafa Pass which is 500m above sea level with breathtaking views of the east and south shorelines and the tropical rainforest.
