Experience the teaser in 48 hours, or fill up a week with exploration.
Here are 10 reasons Singapore deserves a stopover.
1. Gardens by the Bay
Where Singapore’s skyline meets its soul and the supertrees steal the show.
2. Resorts World Sentosa
One island, endless reasons to stay longer than planned.
If you’re travelling with kids, teens or anyone who enjoys activity-filled holidays, this is an easy win. Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Singapore Oceanarium and Harry Potter: Visions of Magic are all here. Jam pack your day with activities, or extend your stay over three days to really maximize your experience.
3. Singapore Flyer
The best 165 metres you’ll ever spend above a city.
For a proper sense of the city’s scale, get up high. The Singapore Flyer rises 165 metres above Marina Bay, with views across the skyline, and on a clear day, beyond Singapore's borders. Go at golden hour to spot Singapore's hidden gems, bathed in shimmering sunshine. The city looks completely different when everything's catching the last of the light.
4. Hawker centres
The cheapest Michelin-worthy meal you’ll ever pull up a plastic chair for.
This is where you'll experience a burst of authentic Singaporean flavours. Pull up a plastic chair, order whatever has the longest queue and don’t overthink it. Hawker centres are where Singapore's food culture thrives. Laksa, Hainanese chicken on rice, chilli crab, satay, are all fast, affordable and wildly decadent.
5. Vintage Vespa sidecar tour
The backstreets, the stories and the Singapore most visitors fly straight past.
This is the version of Singapore the hop-on-hop-off bus doesn't show you. A smart pick if you want to see a different side of the city. You’ll zip through backstreets in a 1960s sidecar, moving through heritage neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Little India, plus, place most visitors miss like Kampong Glam and Tiong Bahru, with a local guide, storytelling as you go. It’s fun, different and worth it!
6. Tiong Bahru heritage stroll
Art deco, kaya toast and a neighbourhood that moves at its own pace.
Come hungry - Tiong Bahru is Singapore's oldest housing estate. If you like your city breaks with a bit of character, make time for Tiong Bahru. This historic neighbourhood is known for its low-rise 1930s Art Deco blocks, old-school markets, independent cafes and some of the best kaya toast and kopi on the island. Come hungry and leave a bit of room for a wander.
7. Night bumboat from Clarke Quay
Singapore after dark, from the water - this is the view you came for.
This is one of the easiest ways to get your bearings. Get on the water at dusk. These traditional bumboats cruise past Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and out toward Marina Bay, with the skyline doing its best work after sunset. Do this at dusk, then stay on for dinner or a drink by the river.
8. Museum of Ice Cream
Immersive, delicious and completely unserious.
Bright colours, unlimited tastings, installations you'll actually want to photograph - it's part immersive experience, part dessert stop and part photo playground, which makes it a very easy yes for families and anyone travelling with kids or teens. Book timed entry online, as walk-ups typically sell out by noon.
9. Marina Bay cycle
The waterfront at sunrise or golden hour - two wheels, one moment in time, zero regrets.
Singapore is one of the easiest cities to explore on two wheels. Rent a bike and explore the Marina Bay loop. Ride past Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion and the Helix Bridge, preferably early in the morning or just before sunset when the heat backs off and the waterfront looks its best. Either way, it's one of Singapore's great free mornings.
10. Singapore Zoo and Night Safari
Two of the world’s best wildlife experiences, separated by sunset.
Treat these as two separate outings in two separate days if you can. Singapore Zoo's is famous for its open-concept design and is home to more than 4,200 animals. Then after dark, Night Safari shifts the mood completely with tram rides, walking trails and nocturnal wildlife in the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park. It’s one of the best Singapore experiences for families, but adults love it too.
