Explore Victoria’s longest rail trail, stretching from Mansfield to Tallarook, with a scenic side trip to Alexandra. Ride through stunning countryside, charming historic towns, and the famous Cheviot Tunnel, all on a well-maintained packed gravel surface with gentle gradients—perfect for all cycling abilities.
Tour De Vines are based in Beechworth, which means operate our bikes, buses, and support services—no outsourcing, just great value passed on to you!
Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just enjoy a casual ride, the Great Victorian Rail Trail is the perfect long weekend escape. Let us handle the logistics while you soak in the stunning scenery and relaxed country atmosphere.

Sample Itinerary
Arrive Mansfield. Meet & greet for last minute assistance & bike collection (if required) and ride to Bonnie Doon. Overnight. Cycling 21kms
Enjoy breakfast & ride the Rail Trail to Alexandra. Overnight. Cycling 58kms
After breakfast, jump back on the Great Vic Rail Trail and enjoy the scenic ride to Yea through the Cheviote Tunnel. Cycling 37kms
Todays ride follows the lovely Goulborn River to Tallarook, with a stop at Trawool Estate for a celebratory lunch. Cycling 39kms.
Jump on the train for your onward journey or ask us about transfers back to Mansfield.

Self guided cycling tours require participants to be adaptable and able to solve issues whilst on tour. On call support is included in your tour, for emergencies, but it is expected that you will know how to repair punctures and make minor adjustments to gears, handlebars and seats if required, and if bringing your own bike, this is expected.
