5 Day Sydney City, Oyster Farm to Vine Escape

Arrive in Sydney and make your way to Furama Darling Harbour, where you'll settle in for two nights. Spend your afternoon strolling through nearby precincts like Darling Quarter, Barangaroo, or visiting the Chinese Garden of Friendship. In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of the many waterfront restaurants along Cockle Bay Wharf or Darling Harbour, and watch the skyline light up across the water.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before spending your day exploring Sydney’s icons and neighbourhoods. Head to Circular Quay to visit the Sydney Opera House, take a walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens, or browse the boutiques of Paddington. For beach lovers, a visit to Bondi Beach offers the chance to walk the scenic Bondi to Coogee Coastal Trail. Return to the city in the evening and perhaps enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at a rooftop bar or a seafood meal in The Rocks.

After checking out and collecting your hire car, begin your journey north. On the way, stop on the Central Coast region for your Farm to Plate: Cruise & Oyster Tasting experience. Step aboard a calm-water cruise that takes you through beautiful oyster leases as you learn about aquaculture and enjoy freshly shucked oysters straight from the sea. This immersive and flavourful experience is a highlight of the journey. After your cruise, continue your drive to the Hunter Valley, arriving by late afternoon. Check in to the tranquil voco Kirkton Park Hotel, located in the heart of Pokolbin. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel’s Locavore Restaurant, known for its garden-to-plate dining philosophy.

The Hunter Valley has some of Australia’s best wine, food, cheese, chocolate, beers and spirits and we’ll try them all on this tour. Visit 3 local boutique wineries and a distillery with a guided tasting by a local supplier at each stop and behind the scenes tours at select locations. At some venues, we’ll bring some chocolates and local cheeses to match the wine and keep your tastebuds exploring the flavours of Australia’s first wine region. In addition to all the beautiful wines and hand carfted produce, we also include a relaxed one course lunch with a wine, beer or cider to allow guests to take in the Valley’s charm.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and enjoy a scenic drive back to Sydney Airport, returning your hire car before your departure. If time allows, consider a stop in the Hawkesbury region or Brooklyn for a coffee or short nature walk.
