United Arab Emirates

Seven Emirates, endless adventures

From souks to sky-high towers

The seven United Arab Emirates seem to hold every experience you can imagine – and a few you’d never expect.

Wander through Dubai’s glittering souks and mega malls, explore Al Ain’s historic forts and desert oases, or lose yourself in the maze-like streets of old Sharjah – a UNESCO Cultural Capital. Marvel at the grandeur of Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, or head out on a 4WD safari across the golden dunes of the Empty Quarter.

Hike the mystical Hajar Mountains, kayak through Ajman’s mangroves, or stretch out on the white sands of Ras Al Khaimah. Prefer the coast? The serenity of Fujairah is pure magic.

Food lovers, get ready – from luxurious Emirati feasts to iconic street eats like shawarma, falafel and sweet luqaimat dumplings, you’ll be eating well all day (and night).

Whether you’re scaling the Burj Khalifa or star-gazing in the desert, every day in the UAE is a collision of adventure, culture and incredible flavour.

Why Choose Me as Your Travel Consultant?

Travel isn't just about reaching a destination it's about discovering the hidden gems that transform a trip into an unforgettable story. With a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation Sports and a lifetime spent exploring both rugged landscapes and vibrant cities, I bring a unique perspective that goes far beyond typical tourist itineraries.

My roots in Ireland taught me to appreciate nature's raw beauty. I've summited every mountain in the country, including my beloved Tonelegee, where the trail rewards you with views of Lough Ouler a heart-shaped lake that reminds you why we wander in the first place. This deep connection to outdoor adventure means I understand travelers who crave authentic experiences, whether that's finding the perfect hiking route or a secluded viewpoint that isn't in any guidebook.

Living in the Netherlands expanded my horizons in ways I never anticipated. I fell in love with how seamlessly you can hopscotch between countries and cultures breakfast in Leiden, lunch in Brussels, dinner in Cologne. But I also learned to dig deeper: discovering D'Artagnan's statue (The Three Musketeers) in Maastricht, understanding the city's role in European history, savoring local flavors that tell the story of a place. I've learned that the best travel experiences come from balancing spontaneity with insider knowledge.

What truly sets me apart is my approach to travel planning: I believe in the magic of getting lost with purpose. I'll help you find those non-touristy restaurants where locals actually eat, the neighborhood markets that buzz with authentic energy, and the lesser-known historical sites that reveal a destination's true character. These are the moments that stay with you long after you've unpacked your suitcase.

I'm also part of a family that lives and breathes exploration. My fiancé who originates from France, shares my passion for discovering new places, and my mother-in-law literally writes the book on travel authoring French travel guides from her home in Greece. This means I'm constantly exchanging tips, routes, and hidden treasures with fellow enthusiasts who understand that travel is both an art and a calling.

Whether you're an adventurous hiker seeking Europe's most breathtaking trails, a culture enthusiast wanting to trace historical footsteps, or simply someone who wants to experience a destination like a local rather than a tourist, I'll craft an itinerary that speaks to your spirit. I understand that the best journeys are personal, and I'm committed to helping you create memories that are uniquely yours.

Let's turn your travel dreams into extraordinary realities.

House of Travel Masterton

Having been with House of Travel for 13 years I really enjoy how even after all this time every day is different. I can still find new destinations to learn about and expand on my knowledge through travel I have booked. Hearing about how my client’s travels went and what they experienced is always a highlight!

I encourage clients to keep in touch throughout their trip as I love receiving a photo now and then to see where their adventures are taking them. To me it's not just a holiday or a travel experience we are booking, it's memories we are helping create that will last you a lifetime.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain.

So don't wait, get in touch to plan your next big adventure today!

Travel has been an integral part of my life for over 20 years, and I can't imagine pursuing anything else.  This year, I proudly celebrate my 17th year with House of Travel Papamoa, where I truly love being a 'hottie.' Our store boasts a fantastic team culture that makes coming to work a joyful experience every day.

I find immense satisfaction in crafting bespoke itineraries that transform my clients' dreams into reality.  While the USA remains my favourite destination, my travels have also taken me through the stunning landscapes of New Zealand, the enchanting South Pacific, vibrant Australia, diverse Europe, and picturesque Canada and Alaska. This year (2024), I had the incredible opportunity to experience the magic of South Africa, where witnessing wildlife in their natural habitat is nothing short of breath-taking. Being on safari brings you so close to majestic animals, just meters away, creating unforgettable memories.

Remember, your holiday begins the moment you step through our door.
