Flight time
The flight from Auckland to Morocco takes roughly 27.5 hours with a stopover. Relax with a lovely massage or nap when you get there- the long flight will totally be worth for what you're about to experience.
From the bustling medinas of Marrakesh and Fez to the wild Atlantic beaches of Essaouira, the vast Sahara Desert to the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains – Morocco is vibrant, intense and endlessly fascinating.
Wander the blue-washed alleyways of Chefchaouen, hike North Africa’s highest peak, surf the ocean or get wonderfully lost in a tiny Berber village. Morocco’s cultural tapestry – a bold blend of Arab, European and African influences – is stitched into every colourful souk, handwoven rug and tiled courtyard.
And the food? Next level. Fragrant tagines, saffron-scented couscous, sweet mint tea and multi-course feasts served with a generous helping of spice and hospitality. (Pack an extra suitcase – trust us.)
Whether you’re here for the history, the adventure or the interiors of your dreams, Morocco will dazzle you at every turn.

The best time to visit Morocco is during spring (March–May) or autumn (September–November), when the weather is mild, crowds are fewer, and outdoor activities, festivals, cultural sightseeing, hiking, and coastal adventures are at their best.
Morocco is 11–13 hours behind New Zealand depending on daylight saving in both countries. Drink lots of local coffee to get you through the adjustment period.
As the saying goes, “Travel
is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” I feel incredibly fortunate
to turn that truth into a career, helping others explore the world and enrich
their lives through unforgettable journeys.
I have been privileged to travel extensively, immersing myself in diverse
cultures, iconic landmarks, and off-the-beaten-path adventures that continue to
inspire and energize me.
Growing up in South Africa gave me the unique opportunity to experience my own
“backyard” for nearly 40 years. The breathtaking nature of Africa will always
hold a special place in my heart.
My travels across the UK, Spain, Greece, Turkey, and other European cities have
deepened my appreciation for history and culture.
The perfect holiday for me is anywhere spent with my husband and our amazing
daughters. As a family, we tend to gravitate towards island destinations
because they offer something for everyone. I have been fortunate to visit many
beautiful islands, with my top four being the Cayman Islands, Madagascar, Fiji,
and the Seychelles.
With 20 years of professional experience in the travel industry in South Africa
where I specialized in Corporate, Group, and Incentive Travel. One of the
proudest moment of my career was being named the ASATA (Association of Southern
African Travel Agents) Corporate Consultant of the Year for 2013.
Now, I’m thrilled to bring my skills and knowledge to the New Zealand travel
industry—especially here at House of Travel Rotorua. My rapid response time,
attention to detail, and systematic approach will save you stress and time.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a multi-generational family trip,
business travel, or a school tour group, I am here to personalise any itinerary
to fit your needs.
So don’t delay—get in touch today and let me make YOUR travel dreams a reality!

Travel really is my passion and I perhaps love organising it just as much as the actual travelling. Being able to open up options for people they had no idea they could accomplish is truly exciting. I love the scope of what we can accomplish as a travel agent; our systems, knowledge and relationships with the right people all add up to being able to organise a truly memorable trip. I’ve done it all from tours, safaris, ocean and river cruises, adventure travel, self-drives, rail journeys, family travel specialising in all things Disney and I love to share my knowledge to help you achieve the trip of your lifetime.
Outside of the office I like to spend my time skiing, horse riding, tramping, scuba diving, getting outside on our lifestyle block with my two little girls or enjoying a glass of pinot with a side order of chocolate mousse.

Why I love travel?
Travel gives us our greatest stories, our most cherished memories and countless irreplaceable learnings that we can choose to pay forward to others. It teaches us about ourselves and each other, it broadens our horizons and, just like a reset button, it forces us to refocus on what really matters.
