Disney Magic at Sea – New Zealand to New Zealand
The following guidelines are based on government regulations, which are subject to change at any time. It is your responsibility to check with your travel agent, government agency, embassy or consulate to ensure that all the proper documentation is obtained. All Guests must have valid government-issued proof of citizenship to travel, in addition to any other requirements of the country of origin and countries visited. Guests without proper documentation will be denied boarding.
Adults traveling with minors for whom they are not the parent or legal guardian must present a completed Minor Authorization Form signed by the child’s parent(s) or legal guardian, authorizing the adult permission to take the child on the specific cruise, supervise them and allow emergency medical treatment to be administered if necessary.
All Guests Ages 18 Years and Older
- Original passport, valid at least 6 months after sailing has ended OR
- Government-issued photo ID
All Guests Ages 17 Years and Younger
- Original valid passport, valid at least 6 months after sailing has ended OR
- Government-issued ID OR
- Original government-issued birth certificate
All Non-New Zealand Nationalities, Including Children
- Visas are not needed for this voyage; although, depending on nationality, some Guests may require an entry visa to enter New Zealand
- Note: Australian permanent residents must apply for NZeTA.
Shore excursions open
- First time Disney cruisers: opens 75 days before sailing
- Silver Castaway club: opens 90 days before sailing
- Gold Castaway club: opens 105 days before sailing
- Platinum members and Concierge guests: opens 120 + days prior (sometimes up to 130 days via Shoreside Concierge.
Specialty Dining & Spa
Same timings as the Shore Excursions – once your fare is fully paid, you can begin booking your speciality dining and spa reservations when your activity booking window opens, following the same 75- /90-/105-/120 day schedule
Reservations open exactly at midnight ET (US. Eastern time) on the opening day of your booking.
- First time Disney cruisers: opens 75 days before sailing
- Silver Castaway club: opens 90 days before sailing
- Gold Castaway club: opens 105 days before sailing
- Platinum members and Concierge guests: opens 120 + days prior (sometime up to 130 days via Shoreside Concierge).
HOT TIP
Some excursions and dining experiences are in high demand and tend to fill quickly – plan ahead - typically high demand activities are:
- Port adventures like excursions, cabana rentals etc
- Speciality adult dining – such as Palo, Enchante (Champagne tasting), including brunch
- Beverage tasting (wine, beer, spirits, chocolate etc)
- Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers and Olaf’s Royal Picnic or Royal Gathering – meet and greets
- Spa treatments, including rainforest room appointment or couples services
Cancellations
You can generally cancel up to about 3 days before the cruise without penalty. Cancellations by other guests may free up spots – so keep checking availability up until your departure (or even on board) – Guest services can also help to snap up any last-minute availability
Checking in online / APP you need to:
- Provide document for each guest
- Upload photos
- Choose a Port Arrival Time (PAT) which determines when you are allowed to arrive at the terminal
- Accept the cruise contract
- Once complete, you’ll get your post arrival documents with a QR code you’ll show at embarkment (at the terminal)
HOT TIP
- Do it at midnight ET on your opening day to get an early Port Arrival Time (PAT)
- Prep your photos and passport scans ahead of time – especially if you are travelling in a big group or family for big groups
- Make sure your My Disney account email matched your reservation email for syncing
- Check in opens at different times depending on your Castaway Club status (At 12.00AM Eastern Standard Time)
- First time guest - 30 days before sailing
- Silver Castaway Club - 33 days before
- Gold – 35 days before
- Platinum & Concierge - 38 days before
